Glendale Headstone Photographs

October 7, 1898

Fanona Prospero was one of the charcoal burners at the Canyon Creek kilns, providing the much needed fuel source needed to sustain the HCMC roasters at Glendale. Many of this work force were Italian immigrants and considered the best at their trade. Prospero accidently fell into a kiln he was working and literally burned to death.

Perhaps one of the several unnamed or unmarked graves is the final resting place of Fanona Prospero.
