"A" Fall as he was most commonly called, was an early pioneer to what was to become Montana Territory. He arrived at Bannack in late 1862 and took up the prospecting frenzy that encompassed the region. Is listed as a sitting member of the first Masonic meeting called for organization at that place. He followed the exitement of the glitter to Last Chance Gulch where he operated a saloon. When the bonaza reached Trapper Gulch, "A" was to become a part of it. He operated a saloon and billiard hall at Trapper city and then Lion City. He died at his home in Lion City.

No sign of a permanent marker remains in the Glendale cemetery, perhaps marked simply by a stone such as this one.
