Patrick Bryson came to Montana Territory early on, first was at Basin in Jefferson County, came to Glendale in late 1870's. A shoemaker by trade, he had success in the new mining camps in the Bryant Mining District camps, setting up shop with John Reynolds at the livery stable. Was reportedly well liked, worked hard but so far nothing to reveal he ever married or had any family nearby at the time of his death.

Some of the earlier graves were just marked with a stone, perhaps such as this one. Many now have given way to the robust sage brush stalks that do well here.
